Effective date: March 13, 2026

4000 Weeks is a Chrome extension created by Zakary Werdegar (JuicedUpPrimate). This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it is used, and what choices users have.

1. What the extension does

4000 Weeks replaces the default new tab page with a custom interface that may include features such as:

  • a personal dashboard

  • journal or reflection entries

  • counters or progress tracking

  • rotating quotes or text

  • interactive visual components

  • optional save, export, or sync features

2. Information the extension collects

The extension may collect or process the following information, depending on which features a user chooses to use:

Content entered by the user

  • journal entries

  • notes

  • custom text

  • preferences and settings

Technical/local usage data

  • locally stored settings

  • saved interface state

  • feature preferences

  • timestamps associated with saved entries

Google account or cloud-connected data
If the user chooses a feature that connects to Google services, the extension may access and store the specific content necessary to save or sync the user’s data, such as text entries or exported documents.

3. How information is used

Information is used only to operate the extension’s features, such as:

  • displaying saved journal entries or settings

  • maintaining the user’s chosen interface state

  • saving or exporting user-created content

  • syncing content with connected services when the user requests it

  • improving reliability and fixing bugs

4. Data storage

User data may be stored in one or more of the following places:

  • Locally on the user’s device, using Chrome extension storage or similar browser-based storage

  • In the user’s connected Google account, if the user explicitly uses a sync, export, or save-to-Google feature

  • On no separate developer-owned server

4000 Weeks does not transmit user journal entries, notes, or personal content to the developer’s own servers.

5. Data sharing

4000 Weeks does not sell personal information.

User data is not shared with third parties except:

  • when necessary to provide a feature the user chooses to use

  • when data is stored with a service the user connects, such as Google Docs, Google Drive, or related Google services

  • when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and security

6. User choice and control

Users can control their information by:

  • uninstalling the extension

  • deleting locally stored extension data through browser settings

  • deleting their own saved/exported files from connected services

  • discontinuing use of optional sync or export features

7. Permissions

The extension only requests permissions reasonably necessary for its functionality. These permissions may be used for features such as:

  • replacing the new tab page

  • storing user preferences and entries

  • exporting or syncing user-created content

  • connecting to authorized Google services when the user chooses those features

8. Data security

Reasonable measures are taken to reduce unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
